A device is a computer or server we protect. Device count isn't headcount: shared workstations count once. Regulated practices (HIPAA, FTC Safeguards, Ohio Rule 1.6) typically land in Tier 2 or 3, and the assessment sets your exact tier and count before you commit to anything.

No per-ticket billing for the protection itself — alerts, questions about your covered tools, and the automated response are all inside the monthly price. Hands-on work beyond the stack is quoted in writing at the published $150/hour rate before it starts, and the point of the stack is that those hours are rare.
